[Battle At Bleak Rock]

whoaaa, hold up, why is this so good?

i have nothing to point out about this, its genuinely perfect from my pov! the mix is clean, the composition is great, the arrangement is really good!

There's a lot I could do better I think but it's also a matter of interpretation. For example the mix could be clearer but that also is just how shit sounds when you record everything at once. I'm sure a year from now if I make more of these this track will look amateurish.

[Elven Bow]

this is really cute! i have to give it to you for the interesting vibes, the variety of instruments and the creative tempo changes

the only problems i had with this track is the way you approached the key change and the mix; specifically, the violin feels somewhat unclear at times, somewhat taking away from the song, the same can be said about that flute esc sound that comes in the second half of each chorus/drop section, it feels somewhat resonant and it sort of covers the whole drop, i feel like you could have taken back a bit from those resonances and it would have make the mix a lot clearer

the key change is *nice,* but i feel like you could have approached it differently, i cant give any great ideas for how you could have done it other than just having something *different* in there to signal the drastic change in tone (eg a different riser)

as negative as the review sounds, this track is really good, and i really enjoyed it! good luck with the nguac, my friend :)

Thanks for the honest review. For the mix issues with the violin, the rhythm that I used became sort of distorted as the tempo increased, leading to a sort of unclear drone. I didn't really have enough time to fix it, though. Glad you enjoyed it never-less. xp

[Shooting Stars]

this is a pretty good track! i have to point out the clean mix and nice master

when it comes to the rating, the reason i give it a 4 is moreso related to the sample selection and the composition; first of all, i recognize that acapella from a certain pack (i cant put my finger on it, pretty sure its on splice?), i feel sort of bad about the fact that you didnt do much with it, rather just left it in there - thats generally the feeling that i get about the whole track, there are sounds and things you did that you could have done *a bit more with* to bring it to the next level

outside of that, this track is really solid and clean, ngl i could see you sending this to ncs and actually having it accepted, so good job! and good luck with the nguac! :3

hahah thanks :D i spent only 10 hours or so on it because i had another competition going on which i gave priority, and this is really rushed :( that's why the vocals processing is not professional or something. i started the idea on a livestream and then 3 days after i continued it off camera due to lack of ideas heh. thanks for the feedback and also NCS wouldn't accept it, i tried with more better songs i've done recently and they just rejected everything hahah but i will keep trying. thanks again :D

all of the elements of this track line up really well! i really like it

im giving this a 4 only because i wish there was a bit more variation in the breaks; they sound really good, but there isnt much change in the pattern they play

outside of that, even if the song is short and doesnt have much variation, i feel like everything in it has been done really well and works together perfectly, both mix and sound design wise

[Salt The Earth]

this whole song has a really cool, dark vibe to it - i really love the direction you went. i especially love the last buildup, where everything sort of goes silent and the bass roars underneath

now, the only reason im really giving this a 4 is the mix; imo, i would make the drums pop a little more, since they feel drenched out by the bass and other sounds (especially in the first drop); even if the drums themselves arent the focus of the track, i still feel like theyre a bit too weak

outside of that, this is a great entry for the knockout round, loved it! :3

[Jakims - Teleportation]

this was pretty good, and really clean; the overall vibe and aesthetic of the whole journey is great. i really like how the mood changes from section to section, a bit at a time, yet everything still feels like its part of the same song
